Bunaken Marine National Park is A Undersea Paradise

Bunaken Marine National Park is located in North Sulawesi and is 8 km from Manado City, and is one of the attractive tourist attractions.

Overall the Bunaken National Marine Park has a large park area and there are five islands. Bunaken Island, Manado Tua Island, Siladen Island, Mantehage Island, and Naen Island.

Although this marine park area has five adjacent islands, only Bunaken Island is best known as a diving spot.

However, dive sites are only limited around the coast that surrounds the five islands. This is do for the safety of visitors as well as to facilitate beach staff in supervising visitors.

How to get to Bunaken Marine National Park

As a place that is well known internationally, transportation access to Bunaken Marine Park is very easy.

Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado city is connected with several other cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Balikpapan and Makassar.

In addition, it serves direct flight routes from and abroad such as to Singapore, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, and Davao, Philippines. From the Sam Ratulangi airport to the city of Manado you can use a taxi.

There are several alternative ways to get to Bunaken Island from the city of Manado, namely through Manado Harbor, Marina Nusantara Dive Center (NDC) in Molas District and Marina Blue Banter.

From Manado harbor to Bunaken Island around 30 minutes, from NDC to Bunaken Island dive site takes about 20 minutes, while from Marina Blue Banter to Bunaken Island we will use a cruise ship around 10-15 minutes.

You can also rent a boat to Bunaken Island from Manado. There are two choices of places, from Pasar Bersehati or Marina.

Ship rental prices from the Bersehati market to Bunaken range from IDR 300,000 to IDR 400,000. The price is more expensive if we depart from Marina, which is around IDR 600,000-800,000 or we can use a traditional boat with a price of IDR 50,000 /person, only this traditional boat departs when the passenger is full.

Entrance tickets to Bunaken Island can be obtained in Manado and Bunaken National Park. You can also buy tickets at several ticket dealers in the villages of Bunaken and Liang in the Bunaken and Siladen Islands.
